The award recognizes Canadian women who have blazed new trails in radio. Rosalie Award recipients are women who have had successful careers in the radio industry and are seen as leaders, mentors, and people making a difference in our business.

The Rosalie Award is named in honour of Rosalie Trombley, renowned Music Director at Top 40 powerhouse CKLW-AM “The Big 8” in Windsor-Detroit. Her success and influence during those early years of women in radio inspired the Rosalie Award and she became the first recipient in 2005. The award recognizes Canadian women who have blazed new trails in radio. Help us to celebrate and inspire women making radio in Canada.

Rosalie Trombley Named 2016 Recipient of Walt Grealis Special Achievement Award

Rosalie Trombley has been named the 2016 recipient of the Walt Grealis Special Achievement Award, recognizing people who have made an impact in the Canadian music industry. Trombley, namesake of Radio Trailblazers’ Rosalie Award celebrating female radio trailblazers in Canada, is the first woman to win the Walt Grealis award since its inception in 1984.

Trombley, a true radio trailblazer, will be honoured at the 2016 JUNO Gala Dinner & Awards in April in Calgary as part of JUNO Week festivities.
