A big congratulations to Jo-Ann Silverstein, the 2016 recipient of the Rosalie Award honouring radio trailblazers in Canada. Included down below are pictures from the Rosalie Award cocktail reception with Jo-Ann receiving her award and giving her speech.
As you read in our last post, you would know that Jo-Ann is a retired radio sales executive with more than 35 years of experience in the radio industry. Jo-Ann’s reputation grew as she was known for being reliable, creative, compassionate, tenacious, fiercely loyal, a team player and an exemplary Account Executive. Clients would request her as their media representative through her reputation as one of the best.
Today, Jo-Ann continues to be one of the greatest radio ambassadors of our time.
my good friend from CFRB & forever, Jo-Ann, was a most deserving recipient of this important award. This event before she received her Award at Music Week was perfect — the videos, Jo’s speech, the Memorial Renee Roth Humber Scholarship presentation, the speeches from the previous recipients and broadcast personalities there. The room was magnificent and the people invited to share this — old friends and new, all made it as special as it should be for this Trailblazer. Thank you
My thank you to Crumbs & Tea for publishing this write-up and the pictures taken at the Radio Trailblazer’s event, May 3. The winning of the Rosalie Trombley Award will be one of the happiest moments of my life.
One regret….I get to look like Madeline Albright, U,S,’s past Secretary of State more every time the camera catches a glimpse of me. I only wish I had her brain !!!! Jo-Ann Silverstein 2016
